Turn driving knowledge into clear teaching

Part 3 asks you to do much more than talk through a driving topic. You must plan a useful lesson, respond to the pupil in front of you and manage risk throughout. Our ADI Part 3 training focuses on these connected skills. You practise setting an appropriate goal, checking what the pupil already understands and choosing teaching methods that match their ability. We also work on concise directions, meaningful questions and well-timed feedback. If a lesson starts to move away from its aim, you learn how to adapt without losing structure or making the pupil feel rushed.

Review real delivery and improve precisely

Realistic lesson practice lets us observe what you say, what you notice and how you respond when risk changes. Feedback then identifies a specific improvement, such as allowing more pupil reflection, intervening earlier or linking a recap to the lesson goal. We specialise in Part 3 preparation and continue supporting you through the attempts available. If you're unsuccessful in your final Part 3 test, we provide a 50% tuition fee refund under the academy's stated commitment. This doesn't promise a test result, but it gives the final stage added financial protection.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Part 3 test assess?

Part 3 assesses lesson planning, teaching and learning strategies, and risk management. You need to show that your lesson responds to the pupil rather than following a fixed script regardless of their needs.

How does realistic lesson practice help?

It lets you apply planning, communication and safety decisions while a lesson is developing. We can then discuss exact moments where a different question, explanation or intervention would make your teaching more effective.

How does the 50% tuition refund work?

If you're unsuccessful in your final available Part 3 test, we provide a 50% refund of the tuition fee under our stated course commitment. We still focus on careful preparation for every attempt rather than treating the refund as a result guarantee.
